What’s in my gym bag?

What’s in my gym bag?

Hi lovely readers, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Do any of you ever wonder what people have in their gym bag?

Well today I am sharing what I take with me to the gym on a daily basis.  I find that all of these items are a must for me.  Each image is a link that will take you directly to where you can purchase.

Headphones-

My headphones are everything, without music it’s just not the same.  I recently purchased these Beats Solo 3’s and they are honestly the best in my opinion.  They block out any noise and my music just sounds amazing!  When I’m wearing these I feel like I am the only one at the gym.

If you prefer ear phones over headphones click the image on the right, those are great as well and they are also wireless.

Both are available in other colors.

Headphone covers-

These headphone covers protect your ear pads from sweat or make up.  they are washable and dry quickly.  You don’t want to purchase expensive headphones just to ruin them.  Try these out, they have different designs.

Gym bag-

This Vooray gym bag is the perfect size, it’s not huge but not small either.  The zipper compartment on the outside is perfect for keys, gym pass, or even you phone.  I’ve had it for a few months and I love it.  Other colors are available.

Resistance bands-

Make every workout more challenging with resistance bands.  I have about 3 different kinds in my gym bag.  You just never know which one you will prefer.  In reality you just need one set.  lol  Click on any of the images below.

Blender bottle and water bottle-

I always have to take my own water from home to the gym just because I don’t like drinking water from the water fountain.  I use these 2 bottles every single day.  More colors are available, click on the images below.

Barbell pad-

This is a protective pad that will protect you while using a barbell on any part of your body.  I use it for squats, lunges, hip thrusts and more.  This is very useful and a lot of gyms don’t have it available which is why I take my own.  You also kind of don’t want someone else’s sweat on you when using the one provided at your gym.

It is also available in pink.  Click on the image to purchase.

Weight lifting gloves-

I love wearing gloves to get a better grip on the weight bar and because I dont want calluses.  Both pictured below do the job, the ones in the first picture provide extra ventilation.  Click on either image.

Sweat towel-

These are to dry your sweat.  lol

Please don’t let your sweat drip all over the equipment, be mindful of others.  Click on either image.

These are the items that I take to the gym please check them out, try them out you will not regret it.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my blog post today. Don’t forget to make a commitment to yourself to grow daily!

Day 6 of my squat challenge!

Day 6 of my squat challenge!

Recently I started going to the gym mostly every day.  I love it because the time that I am there is me time and I feel great after every gym session.

This past Sunday I started my own 30 day squat challenge.  The challenge consists of 100 squats per day for 30 days. Squats are great because they provide a workout for multiple muscle groups which include thighs, the butt and core.

I originally got the idea from a video that I watched on YouTube.  Click below to watch it and get motivated!!!

100 squats might be too much for some people but for others it’s perfect. I like to challenge myself so I always use a specific resistance band for all types of squats.  The bands that I use is also amazing for hip thrust, walking squats, walking side steps, walking forward step, hip abduction and adduction, hip band kick backs and the list goes on.  Click on any of the pictures below to purchase either if the resistance bands.

I challenge you to challenge yourself! Buy the resistance band and start squatting, you can basically do it anywhere. If you travel a lot, start squatting at the airport.  If you have kids, start squatting while they eat or nap.  If you work all of the time, squat during your 15 minute breaks.

I will let you guys know what changes I see on my body after I am done with my 30 day squat challenge.
